SUMMARY: |
I'm capable of good quality software development. Such development comes from the detailed analysis of the problem, providing a good design, construction and evaluation of a suitable solution. I'm also capable of team working of interdisciplinary nature, IV or V level studies, IT consulting and researching on the computer science field.

WORK EXPERIENCE: |
Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA, Technology Consultant, Greenbelt, MD, USA (May 2009 - January 2010)
At the Astrophysics Division of GSFC, I've worked as a Tech Consultant for new atomic database project. This project is based mainly on the migration of legacy schematized databases (atomic data) into a new universal SQL schema. At the front end of this new application, we have been developing a web site intended to serve as a search tool in the astronomical community. - |

Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Technology Consultant, Los Teques, Miranda, Venezuela (March 2007 - November 2007)
At the Necessity and Opportunity Department (Technology Management) of the Caracas Metropolitan Region, I have worked as a Tech Consultant for different type of projects that have already finished the analysis and design phase of the software engineering. At this stage of the process they required counseling regarding possible and optimal solutions, aided by the state of the art technology. Some of the mayor projects treated in this period are:

Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Requirements Consultant , Los Teques, Miranda, Venezuela (July 2006 - August 2008)
At the Necessity and Opportunity Department (Requirements Management) of the Metropolitan Region, I have worked as a Requirements Consultant, helping every new project take form and grow into a final implementation as a software application. This is just one of the stages in the life cycle of any project, and the activities implied are intimately related to the first two phases of software development in general. Some of the mayor projects treated in this period are:
- |
Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Research (IVIC), Research Assistant, San Antonio de los Altos, Miranda, Venezuela (January 2005 - May 2006)
I have participated in different high-level projects sponsored by FONACIT (National Fund of Science, Technology and Research. Some of the major projects involved in this period are:
- |
PDVSA/IVIC/DBS/CSLC/Digital Base, Web Application Developer, Caracas, Distrito Capital, Venezuela
I have participated in more than 30 projects of web development, taking the developer role of a large group (≈20), external consultant (≈5), or project leader (≈10). Most projects have been related to the free software movement, and they have required national and international interaction with fellow developers from around the globe. Some of the major projects involved in this period are related to the public management, government, educational, and science areas. - |
